Dolcedo is a medieval village made up of eight villages, each with its own ancient history: in the middle of the stream and five bridges that connect the different hamlets, including the beautiful Ponte Grande. Here the oil tradition is a knowledge that is handed down from father to son. From ancient times to today, oil has been the guiding thread of the village’s economy, so much so that in the 14th century it earned the nickname of “conca d’oro”.
A small village, behind Imperia, where a maximum of 40 people live. This is Valloria, a tiny hamlet of Prelà, perched on a green hill, surrounded by olive trees and totally immersed in a dream setting. An ancient medieval town. It was abandoned after the terrible earthquake of 1887 and returned to be inhabited towards the end of 1950 by Italian and foreign artists who rebuilt the less damaged buildings. Today it is a real “artists’ village” with many typical artisan shops.

About an hour’s drive away is Dolceacqua: a medieval village in western Liguria characterized by a humpback bridge and the Doria Castle. During the summer, numerous events including the summer carnival in August!
The village of Apricale is located in the hinterland of Bordighera and Ventimiglia. The town has a medieval urban layout of enormous interest, both for its excellent conservation and for its mixed structure, formed by the enveloping central sector or in circles, around the Castle.
